For the week of Jan 25 – Feb 1, 2010.
Work hours: 9 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday.
Work located in area near La Cienega.
Lanes reduced down to one lane in the east and one lane in the west bound direction 24 hours a day, for construction of bus stop concrete pads.
Concrete bus pads, one located on the north side of the street west of La Cienega/Miller Dr and one on the south side of the street east of La Cienega will be under construction. It takes 7 days for the concrete to harden enough to put the volume of traffic back on the roadway. While this concrete is hardening, in the areas of the new bus pad will be reduced down to one lane both in eastbound and the westbound direction. When possible the area will be reopened to 2 lanes of traffic.
It is anticipated that these lanes will return reopen on Monday, Feburary 8. Rain is expected on Tuesday, January 26, which may cause changes to the construction schedule.
Bus stops at these 2 locations have been relocated about 100 feet away as the posted signs indicate.
All businesses will be open to their normal business hours.
Commuters should expect delays, plan for additional time to get through the area, or chose an alternate route.

Also, not related to the Sunset Strip Beautification project, AT&T is fixing a line on Sunset near The Standard hotel. They are working for the next few days on the southside of the street and in the sidewalk. They start work at 10 am and leave by 4 pm each day. This work was coordinated with the hotel.
