New School Classic Rock

Get ready to move with this one, folks. Free Energy, The Postelles, Vanaprasta & DJ High Voltage are ready to rock our socks off Friday January 28, and frankly, we’re taking off our shoes already.

Free Energy brings a new school spin on great classic rock. Their latest album “Stuck on Nothing” was released in May of 2010 and is filled with infectious tunes that will not leave your brain. The first track “Free Energy” sucks you in right away and, if you have a heart at all, will probably put a smile on your face all the way until it leads into the T.Rex-esque riff on track 2 “Dream City”. Don’t miss your chance to see this 5 piece!

The Postelles are an NY based 4 piece who’s sound connects great acts like The Velvet Underground, The Ramones, Blondie, Television, and goes all the way to The Walkmen. With the impending release of their debut album, the EP is making waves. Head over to their Facebook page for a FREE download!

Vanaprasta are no strangers to the Roxy. This LA band is influenced by classic rock acts like Pink Floyd and all the way to the new classics like Radiohead with the funky side of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. With LA Times picks and a residency at The Echo in 2010, you’ll want to show up early for these guys.

On the 1’s and 2’s will be social strip rock star DJ High Voltage!

Tickets are still available for Friday’s show and can be purchased through The Roxy’s box office at 310-278-9457 or in person M-F 10:30-5:30 and nights of shows.
