Hopefully you were able to catch the first Chelsea Girls show a few weeks ago – it was hot! But whether you missed it, or want to see it again – we have them coming back! They have proved that this all-star, all- girl super group is ready to rock! If you were a huge fan of Hole (Samantha Maloney), Nashville Pussy (Corey Parks), The Donna’s (Allison Robertson), or the occasional Playboy spread (Tuesdae) – this show is where it’s at! Armed with cover songs and special guests – we know it will be hot hot hot! Click here or give us a ring!
Not to brag, but we’re no stranger to world class musicians…but that’s not to say that we don’t still get chills when something really amazing happens on our stage. Our 6th sense tells us that tomorrow will be one of those chill-inducing shows. Al Dimeola is a a living legend, and we cannot wait to witness the magic. Click here for tickets or give us a call at 310 278 9457.
The Roxy ladies were out in full force last week, schmoozin with the best of ’em as a good chunk of the industry was in town for the CIC conference. We were able to connect faces to email addresses and get to know some of the people who make our business go round on a daily basis. Such a pleasure sharing a coctail with some of the heavyweights – and knowing that we’re all doing the best we can to make it. Our party last week with Ima Robot, Ringside, and Crash Kings was the talk of the town – and we couldn’t have been happier to have our room on display. Hope you all made it back safe and sound, and that LA treated you well. See you next year!
We’ve been waiting a while to be able to celebrate Nico Vega’s album release and we couldn’t be happier to host it (along with KROQ Locals Only and Myspace) on our stage! Nico Vega has been a force to be reckoned with for quite sometime, and anytime we are able to catch her, we are even more amazed! Along with The Yelling and The Union Line – not to be missed! Oh, did I mention the tickets are $7?? Click here or call us at 310 278 9457.
Come be apart of Hollywood Roxxx and Switchblade Kitty – every Monday! Look at what you’re missing!

Early last week, much to our dismay, Indie 103.1 shut down their radio waves. As a thank you for all the great years we have had working with Indie we are making our Love Grenades show tonight our “Peace Out” Party! We hope to soon be working with the online station but in the meantime wanted to give thanks to people who made the past years so good. For the employees who formerly worked there as well as the peeps still working the online station we invite you all down to party with us. Your ID badge, Business Card, or Indie key card will get you and a guest into the club… and your first drinks are on us too. Much love you Indie peeps!
The Roxy Staff.
Sold out Unwritten Law show on Saturday really killed it! They’ve played here several times throughout the years…and it was really great to get them back on our stage!
Thanks to EV for the pics!
Indie 103.1 has been one of our favorite stations for a while. They’ve brought us amazing shows like THE SEX PISTOLS and are home to some of our favorite CAMP FREDDY guys. Always a pleasure to work with them in any capacity, and we are very sad to see them go. Quality music. Quality programming. And quality people. Special thanks to SCOTT DALLAVO, DANNY SWAY JACLYN KAJZER, MARK SOVEL, TK, NATIVE WAYNE, JONESY – and the rest of our pals. Luckily, we can continue to listen online at indie1031.com but we already miss it on our dial. Thanks for everything!

Dirty, sexy, Monday’s are in full effect now with our new residency SWITCHBLADE KITTY every week! The press is already running full swing – check out David Tobin’s article on Campus Circle.
Join us next Monday and see what the fuss is all about!
Hollywood is virtually the land of opportunity when it comes to New Years plans – but we’re pretty confident that celebrating with THE WAILERS is one of the very best options. We rave and rave about how amazing the Reggae vibe is, and we can’t think of a prouder way to ring in ’09.
2008 has been a great year for us – we turned 35 and celebrated some of the most epic shows – from Dolly Parton to Camp Freddy and everything in between. It’s only fitting to take it out with some of the most classic tunes ever. Click here for tickets – or call us at 310 278 9457 (don’t forget to ask about VIP accommodations).
Sometimes I’m against “Best Of” lists. Mostly because I never agree with them…so to remedy that – Team Roxy have created our own version of what we thought the highlights of ’08 were. Scanning thru the ’08 Roxy calendar – it was hard to narrow it down (which is a good thing)!
For the record – this started as a TOP 5…but some people *cough* Meg and Heath couldn’t make up their mind. Let us know what your favorite Roxy shows were! Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the year a success – from MYSPACE, to DIM MAK, and everyone in between. Viva 2009!
Come join us for a holiday extravaganza complete with hot chocolate AND Travis McCoy of the Gym Class Heroes. That sounds tasty. After their show tonight at the Gibson Amphitheater – join us as Travis takes over the ones and twos for an exclusive DJ set. Tickets are available here – and remember – you get $5 off for bringing a toy to contribute to Toys for Tots!
The first two nights of Zappa Plays Zappa have been nothing short of amazing!! The shows have been the talk of the town and we can’t wait to watch the last two shows play out. If you’re an avid LA Weekly reader like we are, check out the great article on Frank Zappa and the Zappa Plays Zappa experience.
The line has begun! Traveling from far and wide…this group is securing life in the front row! If you are a Keane fan that couldn’t make it to the show…or weren’t lucky enough to score tickets -please join us on Twitter – where we’ll let you know any up to the minute happenings inside these glorious 4 walls.
All the way from across the pond…KEANE joins us at The Roxy TONIGHT!! It’s no ordinary show, as tickets were available to those fans truly, “in the know!” Announced and onsale thru keanemusic.com virtually the same day, fans were on there toes ready to click click click! We hear the show sold out in record minutes – so we expect a roomful of enthusiastic fans! Because we hear that fans will be traveling in from all over the US and abroad – and we’ve received a handful of questions – here’s a little info:
Them Jeans (DJ) – 7:45
Keane – 8:30
The Roxy is all ages and general admission/standing room.
We will allow fans to start lining up starting at 8am the day of the show – (please be respectful of our neighbors and not block any driveways) – all tickets to the show are will call only. If you had problems purchasing tickets or have questions about any of that jazz – please contact keanemusic.com.
How time flies in the world of rock n roll…and it’s that time again to start talking New Year’s plans!! We couldn’t be more excited that THE WAILERS will join us in ushering in ’09 on the Roxy stage. Tickets are on sale NOW! The Wailers, are truly the pioneers of reggae – and after hosting some of the most fabulous reggae this year (Rebelution, Soja, Iration, Katchafire) – its only appropriate that we send it off old school. Led by the talented, Elan – this couldn’t be a better show! If you’re interested in VIP accommodations for the show – give us a ring – 310 278 9457. The best part? They are playing the most epic album ever – EXODUS – in its entirety. Sensory overload.
The Ringer’s have always been one of our favorite bands over the years – as much for their sweet tunes, as the guys themselves. Hysterical and talented is all you could really ever ask for in a group of guys….and finally the world is taking notice!! Take a look at the new spread in the current issue of SPIN magazine! Nice job guys…we’re all rooting for you!
Perhaps the talented Joe Hursley looks familiar? How funny are these milk ads??
