Pharoahe Monch at The Roxy

Underground hip-hop arrives at The Roxy as Pharoahe Monch makes his way back to the Sunset Strip this coming Wednesday, June 22nd.

The complex and fiery rhyme spitter, born and bred from Queens NY, released his third album W.A.R. (We are Renegades) this past March, and has since then embarked on his world tour for the album’s release. Monch has previously released three albums as part of the rap duo, Organized Konfusion with partner Prince Poetry back in the 90’s until the duo split amicably in 1997. Monch released in ’99 his debut album Internal Affairs, which included the hit single “Simon Says”. This time around his album W.A.R takes on issues in today’s society and has Monch dipping his mic in the ideas that stand for higher thought and the fight for the love of the art in hip-hop.

Make sure to head on down to The Roxy this Wednesday at 8pm to get your serving of what this hard hitting emcee has to offer.
