A Different Kind of Hip Hop

Overdoz is not your average hip hop crew. Los Angeles based, the group of 4 combines 2 emcees, a comedian, and a soulful/vocal emcee. Overdoz can’t be pinned down to just a hip hop group, they’re soul, they’re comedy, and musically innovative.

After meeting in high school, they released songs focused on what most 18 year old guys would be concerned with: girls, cars, and music. Their passion to create something interesting and new grew into their second project NOVA and launched them into a new career level. In 2010, they teamed up with Wiz Khalifa, Kurupt, & producer Terrance Martin to put them on the map as a force to be reckoned with in Los Angeles. They even gained the attention of LA Weekly’s Music Blog calling them “Freakiest, Cheekiest Collective.”

Joon, Sleezy, Kent, and Creamie are back at The Roxy on January 31 for “The Rise of the Dest 2”, after their sold out show this past November.
