Emerging in 2020 with the eclectic country-rap ballad “Rascal,” anonymous musician RMR used his vocal chops to fully embrace the melodic side of trap. His first project, the EP ‘Drug Dealing Is a Lost Art’ was released in June of 2020. Maintaining his anonymity with a balaclava, the masked musician surfaced in February 2020 with imagery focusing on street life. Gaining viral momentum with his debut, the rapper followed this with the more emotive “Dealer” the subsequent month, soon enlisting Future and Lil Baby for the song’s remix. Taking the more focused sing-rap approach of contemporaries like Rod Wave and Don Toliver, RMR is quickly making an impact.
